കൊച്ചി മുസരിസ് ബിനാലെയില്‍ രുചിയേറും ഭക്ഷ്യ വിഭവങ്ങള്‍ കലാസ്വാദകര്‍ക്ക് വിളമ്പി കഫേ കുടുംബശ്രീ സ്റ്റാള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചു. ബിനാലെ അധികൃതരും കുടുംബശ്രീയും തമ്മില്‍ ഒപ്പുവച്ച ധാരണാപത്രം അനുസരിച്ച് പ്രധാനവേദിയായ കബ്രാള്‍ യാര്‍ഡിലാണ് കഫേ കുടുംബശ്രീ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്. ചായ, കാപ്പി, ചെറുകടികള്‍ എന്നിവ ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്റ്റാളും ഉച്ചഭക്ഷണവും ജ്യൂസും മറ്റും ലഭിക്കുന്ന മറ്റൊരു സ്റ്റാളും അങ്ങനെ കഫേ കുടുംബശ്രീയുടേതായി രണ്ട് സ്റ്റാളുകളാണ് പ്രധാനവേദിയിലുള്ളത്. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ പത്ത് മണി മുതലാണ് കഫേ കുടുംബശ്രീ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്.

   എല്ലാ 20 ദിവസങ്ങളും സ്റ്റാളിലെ സംഘാംഗങ്ങള്‍ മാറും. ഒരേ സമയം 12 മുതല്‍ 15 കുടുംബശ്രീ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരാണ് സ്റ്റാളിലുണ്ടാകുന്നത്. മാര്‍ച്ച് 29ന് ബിനാലെ അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോഴേക്കും കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കുടുംബശ്രീ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും ബിനാലെ സ്റ്റാളുകളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കും. വരയുടെ പെണ്മ എന്ന പേരില്‍ കുടുംബശ്രീ അംഗങ്ങളായ വനിതകളെ പങ്കെടുപ്പിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞ ബിനാലെയില്‍ കലാപരിശീലന കളരി കൊച്ചി ബിനാലെ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് പത്ത് ദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിന്ന റസിഡന്‍ഷ്യല്‍ പരിശീലനവും നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു.   

  ഇന്‍സ്റ്റലേഷനുകളായി സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കഫേ കുടുംബശ്രീ സ്റ്റാളുകളില്‍ ഡയബറ്റിക് ബെറി, ബീറ്റ് ബെറി, കൂള്‍ ബെറി തുടങ്ങിയ വൈവിധ്യമാര്‍ന്ന ജ്യൂസുകള്‍ ലഭിക്കം. അമില്‍ ഷേക്ക്, മില്‍ക്ക് സര്‍ബത്ത് എന്നിവയുമുണ്ട്. മീന്‍കറി കൂട്ടിയുള്ള ഉച്ചയൂണിന് 50 രൂപ മാത്രമാണ് ഈടാക്കുന്നത്. നെയ്‌ച്ചോറും ചിക്കന്‍ കറിയും 120 രൂപയ്ക്കും ലഭിക്കും.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിംഗ് മേഖലയിലെ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങള്‍ പരമാവധി പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ കുടുംബശ്രീ വനിതകള്‍ ഈ രംഗത്തേക്ക്. നിലവിലെ തൊഴില്‍ സംരംഭങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും പുതിയൊരു വരുമാനദായക തൊഴില്‍മേഖല കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം പ്രകൃതിദത്ത റബറിന്‍റെ ഉല്‍പാദനം വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് പദ്ധതി വഴി കുടുംബശ്രീ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. ഈ മേഖലയില്‍ വൈദഗ്ധ്യമുളള തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ ക്ഷാമം പരിഹരിക്കുക എന്നതും പദ്ധതിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യമാണ്. ഇതിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി ഈ രംഗത്ത് നിലവിലുള്ള പതിനേഴ് ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേനകള്‍ക്കു പുറമേ 210 വനിതകള്‍ക്കു കൂടി വിദഗ്ധ പരിശീലനം നല്‍കി പതിനാല് പുതിയ ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേനകള്‍ രൂപീകരിക്കുന്നതിനുളള നടപടികള്‍ ഊര്‍ജിതമാക്കി.  

കഴിഞ്ഞ സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷം വിവിധ ജില്ലകളില്‍ നിന്നും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത 255 അയല്‍ക്കൂട്ട വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് കുടുംബശ്രീയും റബര്‍ ബോര്‍ഡും സംയുക്തമായി റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിങ്ങില്‍ പരിശീലനം നല്‍കി പതിനേഴ് ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേന രൂപീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു.  ഇവര്‍ക്ക്  യൂണിഫോം, തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ കാര്‍ഡ്, ടാപ്പിങ്ങിനാവശ്യമായ ഉപകരണങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവയും നല്‍കി. ഇപ്രകാരം പരിശീലനം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും റബര്‍ ബോര്‍ഡിന്‍റെ തന്നെ പ്ളാന്‍റേഷനില്‍ തൊഴില്‍ ലഭ്യത ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. റബര്‍ ബോര്‍ഡ് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുന്ന പ്ളാന്‍റേഷന്‍ ദൂരെയുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലാണെങ്കില്‍ അവിടെ പോയി തൊഴില്‍  ചെയ്യാന്‍ സാധിക്കാത്ത അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സമീപ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍  റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിങ്ങിനുള്ള സാധ്യതകള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി വരുമാനം കണ്ടെത്താനും അവസരമുണ്ട്.

നിലവില്‍ ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേനയിലെ പല അംഗങ്ങളും സമീപ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിങ്ങ് ചെയ്യുന്നതു വഴി പ്രതിമാസം ആറായിരത്തിലേറെ രൂപ വരുമാനം നേടുന്നുണ്ട്. തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് പദ്ധതിയിലും മറ്റ് മേഖലകളിലും ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേനയിലെ അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിങ്ങിലൂടെയും അധിക വരുമാനം നേടാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്നതാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രത്യേകത. അയല്‍ക്കൂട്ട വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് സുസ്ഥിര വരുമാനമാര്‍ഗമൊരുക്കുന്നതിനായി റബര്‍ ടാപ്പിങ്ങിനൊപ്പം തേനീച്ച വളര്‍ത്തല്‍ പോലുള്ള ആകര്‍ഷകമായ സംരംഭങ്ങള്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനാവശ്യമായ പിന്തുണയും തൊഴില്‍ വൈദഗ്ധ്യ പരിശീലനവും കുടുംബശ്രീയും റബര്‍ ബോര്‍ഡും സംയുക്തമായി നല്‍കും. നിലവില്‍ ഈ മേഖലയില്‍ സജീവമായ എല്ലാ കുടുംബശ്രീ അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കും റബര്‍ ഉല്‍പാദക സംഘങ്ങളില്‍ അംഗത്വം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിലൂടെ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന തിരുവനന്തപുരം, പത്തനംതിട്ട, കോട്ടയം, എറണാകുളം, തൃശൂര്‍, പാലക്കാട്, മലപ്പുറം, കോഴിക്കോട്, കണ്ണൂര്‍, കാസര്‍കോട് ജില്ലകളിലെ ഹരിത തൊഴില്‍ കര്‍മസേനയിലെ അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിദിന വരുമാനത്തിനു പുറമേ അര്‍ഹമായ മറ്റ് ആനുകൂല്യങ്ങളും ലഭിക്കും.
 
നൂതനമായ തൊഴില്‍ സംരംഭങ്ങളിലൂടെ കേരളത്തിലെ സാധാരണക്കാരായ വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് മികച്ച ജീവനോപാധികളൊരുക്കിയ കുടുംബശ്രീയുടെ മറ്റൊരു ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ തുടക്കമാണിത്. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍  എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ പതിനേഴ് കുടുംബശ്രീ വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം പരിശീലനം നല്‍കിയ ശേഷം രാമമംഗലം റബര്‍ ഉല്‍പാദക സംഘത്തിന്‍റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ 'ഹരിത' എന്ന പേരില്‍ തൊഴില്‍ സേനയും രൂപീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതു വിജയിച്ചതോടെയാണ് കൂടുതല്‍ വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് ഈ മേഖലയില്‍ പരിശീലനം നല്‍കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്.  റബര്‍ കൃഷി ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതലായുള്ള കോട്ടയം, ഇടുക്കി, പത്തനംതിട്ട, എറണാകുളം ജില്ലകളിലെ അയല്‍ക്കൂട്ട വനിതകള്‍ക്ക് പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കും.  

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: മാനസിക വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ജൈവകൃഷി പരിപാലനത്തി ലൂടെ മാനസികവും ശാരീരികവുമായ വികാസം ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്ന കുടുംബശ്രീയുടെ സഞ്ജീവനി അഗ്രിതെറാപ്പി എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലും മികച്ച രീതിയില്‍ പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നു. മാനസിക വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായി കുടുംബശ്രീയുടെ കീഴില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ വഴിയാണ് സഞ്ജീവനി അഗ്രിതെറാപ്പി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തിവരുന്നത്. എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലുമായി 202 ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളാണ് നിലവില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്. 18 വയസ്സില്‍ താഴെ പ്രായമുള്ള കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായി സംസ്ഥാനത്താകെ 88 ബഡ്സ് സ്കൂളുകളും അതിന് മുകളില്‍ പ്രായമുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് 114 ബിആര്‍സികളും (ബഡ്സ് റീഹാബിലിറ്റേഷന്‍ സെന്‍ററുകളും) ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയാണ് ഈ 202 സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍.
 
   ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപന പരിസരത്ത് രണ്ടു സെന്‍റിലോ അതിലധികമോ വരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്താണ് സഞ്ജീവനി പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലാകെയുള്ള ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലായി 345 സെന്‍റ് സ്ഥലത്ത് തക്കാളിയും വെണ്ടയും പയറുമുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള പച്ചക്കറികള്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ കൃഷി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. മാതാപിതാക്കളും ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ ടീച്ചര്‍മാരും ആയമാരും കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നതില്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് തുണയേകുന്നു. കൂടാതെ കുടുംബശ്രീ വഴി കേരളത്തില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന കേന്ദ്ര പദ്ധതിയായ മഹിളാ കിസാന്‍ സശാക്തീ കരണ്‍ പരിയോജനയുടെ ഭാഗമായി സംഘകൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്ന ജോയ്ന്‍റ് ലയബിളിറ്റി ഗ്രൂപ്പ് (ജെഎല്‍ജി) അംഗങ്ങളും സമീപത്തുള്ള ബഡ്സ് സ്കൂളില്‍ സഞ്ജീവനി പദ്ധതിക്ക് വേണ്ടവിധ പിന്തുണയേകുന്നു.

  ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ അന്തര്‍ലീനമായ കഴിവുകള്‍ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നതിന് അവര്‍ക്ക് മാനസിക സന്തോഷം പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് അനിവാര്യമാണ്. അത് കൂടാതെ ചെറിയ തോതിലാണെങ്കിലും ശാരീരികമായ അദ്ധ്വാനം കൂടിയാകുമ്പോള്‍ ഈ കുട്ടി കളില്‍ സമൂലമായ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്താന്‍ അഗ്രിതെറാപ്പിക്ക് കഴിയുന്നു. മാനസിക വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്ന കുട്ടികളെ കൂടുതല്‍ സജീവമാക്കുന്നതിനും അവരുടെ മാനസിക ആരോഗ്യം മെച്ചപ്പെ ടുത്താനും ജീവിത്തോടുള്ള സമീപനം തന്നെ മാറ്റാനും ഈ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം സഹായി ക്കുന്നു. ഇത് കൂടാതെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ഒരു വരുമാനമാര്‍ഗ്ഗം തുറന്ന് നല്‍കുക കൂടിയാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി. കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലാണ് സഞ്ജീവനിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ സ്ഥലത്ത് കൃഷിയുള്ളത്. 68 സെന്‍റില്‍. തൃശ്ശൂരില്‍ 64 സെന്‍റിലും മലപ്പുറത്ത് 50 സെന്‍റിലും കൃഷിയുണ്ട്.
    
   ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ സ്ഥലം കൃഷിക്കായി കണ്ടെത്താനാകുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ സംഘകൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് അതിനായി സ്ഥലം നല്‍കുന്നു. പദ്ധതി അനുസരിച്ച് ഗ്രോബാഗ് കൃഷിയും ചെയ്യാനാകും. ആലപ്പുഴ, ഇടുക്കി, കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലകളില്‍ ഗ്രോബാഗ് കൃഷി ചെയ്യു ന്നു. ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ഉപജീവന മാര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി നല്‍കുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി ജില്ലകള്‍ നൂതന പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്ന നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം അനുസരിച്ച് തിരുവനന്ത പുരം, മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകള്‍ ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ഷം അഗ്രിതെറാപ്പി പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇത് വിജയമായതോടെയാണ് ഇതേ പദ്ധതി എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലേക്കും വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം കുടുംബശ്രീ തീരുമാനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടത്. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലാ മിഷന്‍ ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി ഒന്നരയേക്കര്‍ കൃഷി സ്ഥലം കണ്ടെത്തി നല്‍കി. അവിടെ കൃഷി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്.
   
   മാനസിക വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ നിരന്തര പരിചരണവും സഹായവും ആവശ്യമുള്ള വരാണ്. ഈ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം അവരുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അമ്മമാര്‍ വളരെയേറെ വൈഷമ്യങ്ങളും പരിമിതികളും നേരിടുന്നു. ഇതിന്‍റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് കുടുംബശ്രീ ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തുടക്കമിടുന്നത്. 2004ല്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ വെങ്ങാനൂരിലാണ് ആദ്യ ബഡ്സ് സ്കൂള്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് ഈ പദ്ധതി ദേശീയ വികലാംഗജന നിയമത്തിന്‍റെ (പിഡബ്ല്യുഡി ആക്ട്) കീഴില്‍ വന്നതോടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ മറ്റ് തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപന ങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കീഴിലും കുടുംബശ്രീ ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപ നങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി സ്ഥലം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതും അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളൊരുക്കുന്നതും തദ്ദേശ സ്വയം ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളാണ്. ടീച്ചര്‍മാരുടെ പരിശീലനം, മാര്‍ഗ്ഗനിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കല്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ചുമതല കള്‍ കുടുംബശ്രീയ്ക്കും. പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ചെയര്‍മാനായുള്ള ഭരണസമിതിയാണ് ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത്.
   
  കുട്ടികളെ സ്വന്തം കാലില്‍ നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ പ്രാപ്തരാക്കുന്ന പ്രത്യേക പാഠ്യപദ്ധതി അനുസരി ച്ചാണ് ബഡ്സ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ ക്ലാസ്സുകള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്. സാമൂഹിക വൈകാരിക വികസനം, വ്യക്തിത്വ വികസനം, പ്രാഥമിക ദിനചര്യ പരിശീലനം, കായിക സാംസ്ക്കാരിക വികസന പരിശീലനം എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള വിഷയങ്ങള്‍ പാഠ്യപദ്ധതിയിലുള്‍പ്പെടുന്നു. സ്പീച്ച് തെറാപ്പി, ഫിസിയോ തെറാപ്പി തുടങ്ങിയ സഹായങ്ങളും നല്‍കുന്നു. ബിആര്‍സികളില്‍ അടിസ്ഥാന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന് പുറമേ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ഉപജീവന മാര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി നല്‍കുന്നതിനായി തൊഴിലഷ്ഠിത പരിശീലനങ്ങളും നല്‍കുന്നു.

Veteran Journalist and Ramon Magsaysay Award laureate Shri. P. Sainath features article on Kudumbashree's Flood hit JLGs in People's Archive of Rural India. Under the heading 'Kerala’s women farmers rise above the flood', Sainath deals on how Kudumbashree women's determination outstripped the devastation caused by the unprecedented floods. According to him, savaged by the August floods, facing a looming drought, the women of Kudumbashree’s path breaking group farms are rebuilding, using solidarity as a strategy.

"Across the state, sangha krishi farmers who have lost almost everything – still pitched in with some contributions to help the larger Kudumbashree network raise Rs. 7 crores for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. September 11 brought another poignant moment. That day, in New Delhi, Kudumbashree was awarded the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) prize for ‘Outstanding Performance in Farm Livelihoods.’ The first time the NRLM has given out such an award. " Sainath points out.

Throughout the feature, he explains about the will power and courage that the Kudumbashree women had drawn from their solidarity. He also explains the working of the sanghkrishi units of Kudumbashree who cultivates on the leased land. He says that their success and efficiency means that unlike elsewhere in the country, banks run after them, not the other way around. P. Sainath undoubtedly says that Kudumbashree could well be the greatest gender justice and poverty reduction programme in the world.

Sainath had made notable mentions about Kudumbashree Mission and the Kudumbashree JLGs during his speech at Laadli Media Awards, the largest awards system in Indian journalism that are specifically given for promoting gender sensitivity in the media. During his speech, he also appealed to the journalists to go out and write about Kudumbashree Mission.

He had visited a few flood affected lands of Kudumbashree JLGs recenltly. People's Archive of Rural India (PARI) is a digital journalism platform in India founded by Shri P. Sainath himself who was the former rural affairs editor of 'The Hindu' daily.

On getting extra support from K Chittilappilly Foundation, the housing construction under PMAY Special Project at Maradu Municipality is progressing at fast pace. Kudumbashree Mission had converged with K Chittilappilly Foundation for the housing project at Maradu Municipality. A total of 446 beneficiaries have been sanctioned, out of which 325  were found eligible and agreement has been executed with 214. The construction of 172 has already been started and 66 has been completed.

As per the PMAY project at Maradu Municipality, a total of 1596 had been identified in various verticals. 702 beneficiaries had been identified in Affordable housing vertical. A total of 448 has been identified under Credit Linked Subsidy and 446 under  Beneficiary Lead Construction (New House).

As per the collaboration with  K Chittilappilly Foundation, 40 houses were selected at the first phase. Rs.50000 each would be given to beneficiary's accounts in two installments. The selection of the beneficiaries  was done by PMAY officials of Maradu Municipality and the officials from KCF visited the houses and shortlisted for the support.The houses which completed roof level were selected for support. Efforts have been taken to select beneficiaries from all wards and the most deserving beneficiaries were considered.

K Chittilappilly foundation (KCF) is an initiative by Shri. Kochouseph Chittilappilly with the prime objective of undertaking public charitable activities in India in a corporate level without any discrimination as to religion, caste, creed or gender.  A total of 100 houses are being supported by K Chittilappilly Foundation. Kudumbashree Mission is the nodal agency of Pradhan Manthri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Programme under Central- State Ministries working with the mission of achieving 'Housing for All'.

Three day training for Kudumbashree Animators of Attappady has been started. Shri. S.Harikishore, Executive Director, Kudumbashree Mission inaugurated the training programme at Agriculture Co-operative Training Institute, Manvila, Thiruvananthapuram on 17 September 2018. To make the community kitchens more active, to ensure consistent income for  atleast  3 persons of every  hamlet,  to start construction units, to start the MGNREGS programme at the earliest which ensures wages in advance, to make the Kudumbashree Mission Programme being  implemented in Attappady more active, to  systematically review the programmes etc were the suggestions put forward by Executive Director during his inaugural speech. Classes on self confidence, self realisation, leadership were also extended  during the programme. Classes on organization, social development, micro finance etc were also extend during the programme.  The animators also visited Joint  Liability Groups ( JLG), goat village, IT units, buds institutions as well. The training would come to an end on 19 September 2018.

Pathanamthitta District was badly affected during the flood from 16th Aug 2018. The major rivers in Pathanamthitta overflew during the time and about 57,600 families were directly affected. Most of the family vacated from their house to escape from heavy flood water. After the rescue and relief, rehabilitation was the main challenge of the District Administration. Most of the houses filled with water and sedimentary mud oozed through the flood. Cleaning process was very herculean task because of the deposition of mud. To help the families, Kudumbashree District Mission conducted a campaign. Initially Pulikeezhu block, the worst affected area had been selected for the campaign for cleaning. A total of 6757 women from Kudumbashree neighbourhood group were mobilised to take up massive cleaning campaign at Pulikeezhu block on 28.08.2018. The ultimate aim was to clean all the houses within two days by giving priority to partialized and financially weaker families. Though 4000 volunteers were aimed, 6757 volunteers took part in the process. The process proceeded with the support of other department, LSGs and District Administration.

NHG members from non affected and less affected area/CDS were deputed to carry out the cleaning drive in the most affected area. On the first day , NHG members from 15 panchayaths and three municipalities namely Kalanjoor, Nedumpuram, Erathu, Enadhimangalam, Kodumon, Ezhamkulam, Kadambanadu, Palllickal, Pandalam, Peringara, Kuttoor, Konni, Omalloor, Anicadu, Kottangal panchayaths and Pathanamthitta,Adoor & Thiruvalla Municipality were mobilized to clean houses,public spaces,streets and premises at Peringara, Niranam, Nedumpuram, Kuttoor and Kadapra panchayaths and the most affected places of Thiruvalla municipality.

All the volunteers arrived at 9AM at the respective panchayaths in Pulikeezhu block and from there they have been divided into groups under the leadership of Kudumbashree District Mission team members and their respective leaders. All the teams were then shifted to pre decided different areas in the panchayath with the help of ward members/CDS members of the affected area. Each team was equipped with spade, showel, bucket, mug, bleaching powder, cleaning lotion, Dettol, mops, brooms etc. They have been provided mask, preventive medicine, gloves and gum boot to ensure the precaution. They have also been provided food and water.

The preliminary cleaning process completed at 5 PM on the day and will be repeated on request from the affected with the help of NHG members from local and adjacent panchayaths.
