CONVERSION OF ROOF AND SHUTTERS

91. Conversion of roof and shutters in existing biiilding.- Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, the Secretary, may permit the conversion of thatched roof with tile or asbestos or cement sheet or light sheet or tin sheet and vice versa and conversion of wooden shutters with rolling shutters or rolling grills or collapsible shutters or to install the same in any building existing at tile commencement of these rules withoutany structural change or area increase.

92. Certain provisions not to apply.- General provisions regarding distance from central line of road, set back, coverage, floor area ratio and dimension with regard to building parts, light and ventilation shall not apply to works under this chapter

93. Submission of application and its disposal.- (1) Application shall be submitted in white papers, typed or written in ink, affixed with necessary court fee stamp along with document to prove ownership

(2) There shall be no application fee for conversion of roof and application fee for conversion or installation of shutter shall be as in Schedule - I.

(3) The Secretary shall if convinced of the boundaries of the ownership, issue permit after collecting the permit fee as shown in Schedule-II.

94. Validity of permit and renewal.- (1) The permit shall be valid for 6 months from the date of issue and may be renewed for a further period of six months by filling an application in white paper, typed or written in ink and affixed with necessary court fee stamp.

(2) The application for renewal shall be submitted with in the valid period of the permit and the renewal fee shall be fifty percent of the permit fee.

95. Completion of work to be reported.- The application shall report the completion of the work to the Secretary the white paper, typed or written in ink, specifying the date of completion".
